Kauluspaita / Billowy Pierrot shirt

Tulos on kuitenkin ihan kiva, valkoinen paita yllättävin yksityiskohdin. Kaava ja kangas molemmat kahdeksan euroa.
This billowy summer shirt is model Pierrot by Belgian pattern maker Delphine & Morissette. It was my first time ordering a pattern online. There were some hurdles in the sewing process. First of all the pattern was in French, which I don't really speak other than the most touristic phrases. The text form didn't allow copy&paste translation and some picked keywords gave strange translation results into Finnish, such as something like 'handcuffs' as one pattern part. And I had only black&white printer when different sizes were in different colours. But I took the logical route: it looks like a shirt pattern, treat it like a shirt pattern. The result is actually nice. Pattern cost 8 euros, as much as the 2 meters of fabric. Might do another shirt in other fabric, maybe use some linen. This one I chose for the price and for the fact that it seems to need no ironing.
