| Tein virkaten kämmekkäät lahjapinoon hyödyntäen ohjetta kirjaston kirjasta Mormorsrutor som sticker ut, jonka ovat tehneet Caitie Moore, Celine Semaan ja Sharna Moore. Käytin kirjan nallekaaviota ja toiselle puolelle virkkasin perinteiset isoäidinneliöt. Lankoina on jämälankoja muun muassa tästä paidasta, kuten Drops Soft Tweediä. Pörröinen nalle on tehty Esito Lenkkimohair-langalla. Käytin kaikkia lankoja yhdessä mohairin kanssa, jotta kämmekkäistä tulisi kestävät. Virkkuukoukun koko oli 3.5 mm. I made gift mitts using bear chart from a book called 3D Granny Squares that is by Caitie Moore, Celine Semaan and Sharna Moore. I crocheted a bear square from the book and made a regular granny square to the flip side. Yarns are mostly Drops Soft Tweed that I had at hand as left-overs from this matching sweater, held with mohair yarn for added strength and warmth. The fuzzy bears are made with bouclé-mohair yarn. Crochet hook size was 3.5 mm. |

| Näytillä vain yksi kämmekäs, sillä tiputin toisen jonnekin. Se toivottavasti löytyy vielä, jottei minun tarvitse virkata vasurin käsinettä uudelleen. Nalleneulepaita on omatekoinen ja mekko on kirpparilta. Just one mitt is on show here as I lost the other one on the day I stopped by a communal garden to take pictures. Hopefully I'll find it, or I have to crochet one more mitt to make a functional pair. The sweater worn here is DIY, and dotty dress is thrifted. |
