| Tämä maksimekko tuli vastaan erään kirkon hyväntekeväisyyskirppiksellä. Se maksoi noin 6-7 euroa. Tyyliltään se on hieman 1930-luvun Hollywood-estetiikkaa henkivä, mutta valmistajan lappu ja tekokuitumateriaali paljastavat sen 1970-luvun tuotteeksi. Valmistaja on Petri of Sweden, mutta tekopaikka on Suomi, "Made in Finland". 1970-luvulla kierrätettiin ideoita ja niin 1930- kuin 1940-luvunkin muodot tulivat uudelleen muotiin, mutta materiaalit olivat halvempia. Ideas, looks and fashions from past decades have been reused many times. This 2nd hand dress was around 6-7 euros in a church jumble sale. I was impressed with the look and wondered why it was so cheap, but after a closer look it revealed its problems. It oozes 1930s Hollywood charm, but feels plasticy. The label reveals that the material is artifical and it was probably made in 1970s in a 1970s-does-1930s fashion. It was made in Finland by Petri of Sweden back when there was much more clothes manufacturing here. |
