| Olin ostanut pari vuotta sitten käsityömessuilta palan tätä trikoota, johon on painettu version Gustav Klimtin Suudelma-maalauksesta.
Koska olen ollut äitini kanssa Wienissä alkuperäisteosta katsomassa, ompelin tästä
hänelle mekon lahjaksi. Ajattelin sitä yöpuvuksi, mutta se sopii kyllä päiväkäyttöönkin. Kaavana käytin Jersey dress -ohjetta, joka löytyi kirjasta The Great British Sewing Bee: Back to Basics. Kirja tuli vastaan kirjastossa ja sisältää useita arkipukeutumiseen sopivia ohjeita. I had bought this jersey fabric with a version of Gustav Klimt's The Kiss printed on it. Since I've been to Vienna to see the original painting with my mom, I decided to sewn something out of the fabric for her. I landed on Jersey dress pattern from the book The Great British Sewing Bee: Back to Basics. It makes the most of the print and is a simple and comfortable dress. I planned it as a night gown, but my mom likes it so much that she may wear it as a day dress. I didn't make the sleeves or the side-seam pockets featured in the original pattern. |
