| Nojatuolimatkalla maailman ympäri lapasia neulomalla olen hypännyt Etelä-Amerikkaan. Marcia Lewandowskin kirjasta Andean Folk Knits - Great Designs from Peru, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Bolivia löytyi bolivialaisiin kuvioihin perustuva Mitones Iveños (Mittens from Ivo) -ohje. Puikkokoko 3.5 mm ja vihreä lanka on Trysil Alpaa ja keltainen ja punainen mummun lankajäämistöstä. Nämä vanttuut ovat isot, joten lahjoitan ne luultavasti syksyllä johonkin hyväntekeväisyyskeräykseen. On my trip around the World in mittens next destination is Bolivia. I found the pattern based on Bolivian motifs from the book Andean Folk Knits - Great Designs from Peru, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Bolivia by Marcia Lewandowski. The cuff and hand are from the Mitones Iveños (Mittens from Ivo) pattern and for the fingertips I took a bird motif from another pattern. Needle size is 3.5 mm and the green yarn is Trysil Alpa and the other colours are from late granny's yarn stash. These are quite big, so I think I give these to charity in the Autumn. |
