Kissapaikka koirahousuihin / Spot the mending

Näihin valmisvaatehousuihin oli ilmestynyt reikä, jonka päätin paikata tyyliin sopivalla tavalla. Koiraprintin keskelle sopi huovasta leikattu pala, johon kirjoin kissan. Siksakkasin paikan kohdilleen ompelukoneella, jotta se olisi mahdollisimman kestävä.

A hole had appeared at these print trousers bought years ago from a ready-to-wear store aimed at young and hip. I wanted to mend the trousers in fun and not-too-visible way. I thought one stealth cat would be a suitable patch to hide amongst the dog print. I cut a piece of felt and embroidered a cat face on it, and sewed the piece in place with the zig-zag stitch of the sewing machine.
