| Jotkut tee-se-itse-projektit jäävät kesken ja minulla oli pari puuvillalangasta aloitettua työtä, jotka eivät olleet edenneet vuoteen tai pariin. Purin ne siis lähes kokonaan ja aloitin uudelleen. Jätin vapaavirkatut punahuulet ja tein niiden ympärille villatakin inspiraationani Harry Potter -elokuvassa nähty Mrs. Weasleyn värikäs neuletakki. Takkiosa on aika tykkyä tavaraa, sillä se on virkattu 3 lankaa kerralla. Hihat on improvisoitu käyttäen langat loppuun mahdollisimman perusteellisesti. This cardigan is an attemt to use as much of cotton yarn as possible and get rid of couple of UFOs (unifinished objects) that had been on hold for a year or two. I liked the red lips I freeform-crocheted last summer, but they seemed to require softer colours as surroundings. So I made the coat part with 3 strands of cotton yarn held together, keeping pink as the one constant colour. That makes a nice and strudy texture in which individual yellow or orange strands don't stand out as much. The sleeves are done with one strand each row. Inspiration for the sleeves is from Mrs Weasley´s cardi from one of the Harry Potter films. |
