Pupujussikoru on omatekoinen kuten myös keltainen neulepaita sekä ommeltu pitsipaita. Muki on virolaiselta käsityöläiseltä.

The bunny brooch is a crochet make from several years back. The yellow sweater and white blouse are DIY too. The mug is by an Estonian artisan.

Keltaiset kukkasukat / Anémone socks

Nämä lahjapinoon päätyvät villasukat on neulottu Novitan Nalle-langasta Anémone-ohjeella, joka löytyi Johanna Ekström-Partasen kirjasta Dreamy Knits. Neulepuikot 3 mm ja 3.5 mm sekä parsinneula kukkien kirjomiseen.

These socks for the gift-pile are knitted with Anémone pattern that is by Johanna Ekstöm-Partanen and published in Dreamy Knits book. I used DK-weight sock yarn Novita Nalle, and knitting needles in sizes 3 mm and 3.5 mm, and also a sewing needle to embroider the flowers on the socks.

Neulottu kana on omatekoinen.

The knitted chicken is a DIY make and was a gift for mom.

Sukkajatkopalat / Sock fix setup

Tein vasemmalla olevat sukanpohjapaikat viime vuonna ja nyt toisenkin pohjat olivat kuluneet läpikuultaviksi. Neuloin samankaltaiset parsinpalat, jotka harsin reikien päälle.

The mending on the left side was done at the end of last year, and now the material had gone to threads on the other sock bottom too. I knitted two pieces that I sewed over the bald spots. And now the socks are usable again.

Nykki-toppi / Chrysler top

Kesäkelit eivät ole vielä täällä, mutta neulevarustelu niitä varten voi alkaa jo. Lainasin kirjastosta Knitting for Olive -opuksen ja neuloin siitä Chrysler Top -ohjeella tämän spagettiolkaimisen topin, jonka on suunnitellut Pernille Larsen. Lankana on kirpparilta kahdella eurolla löytynyttä luonnonvalkoista mysteerilankaa ja sen lisänä mustavalkoista Tweed it yourself -lankaa, joka tuo mustia pilkkuja neulepintaan. Puikkokoko 3 mm.

This top for the summer is knitted with Chrysler Top pattern that is by Pernille Larsen and published in Knitting for Olive book. The yarns are off-white mystery skeins gotten from a thrift store held together with Tweed It Yourself thread that gives the knit texture black-and-white speckles. Knitting needle size used for the top was 3 mm.

 Ommellut housut ja virkattu kassi on itse tehtyjä ja loput asusteet on kaupan hyllyltä ihkauusina hankittuja.

The sewn trousers and crocheted tote are DIY makes, and rest is ready-to-wear.

Rannekepaikkaus / Wrist-warmer repair

Näihin rannekkeisiin oli tullut reikä, jonka päätin tuunata teemaan sopivalla lankakerää muistuttavalla paikalla. Rannekkeet on kotimaisen Kainon merinoneulosta ja ostettu kädentaitomessuilta useita vuosia sitten. Käytän niitä erityisesti lenkkeillessäni, jolloin ne estävät tuulta pääsemästä ranteisiin takin hihoista. Neulos oli ehkä tarttunut vetoketjuun tai vastaavaan, jolloin neulos oli lähtenyt purkautumaan. Kursin ensin ompelulangalla paikan purkautumattomaksi ja ompelin sitten reiän päälle virkkaamani paikan viimeistelynä.

Another Mend March mini project waiting to be fixed was a hole on these wrist-warmers. The knit pair is by a small Finnish firm Kaino, and I've gotten them at a craft fair several years ago. I often wear them out for walks, as they block wind nicely. A hole had appeared on them, and I decided to mend them by crocheting a small circle and stitching that over the hole. The fabric already has cats with yarnballs, so I mimicked the yarn ball look for the patch.

Pitsireunaiset kukkakynsikkäät / Fingerless gloves with flower embroidery

Tästä ponchosta jä yli lankoja ja lisäksi minulla oli muitakin saman värimaailman lankoja varastossa, joten tein nämä kämmekkäät. Ohje on saatavilla saksaksi Woolplace-sivustolta ja ohjeen nimi on Handstulpen mit Häkelspitze und Blütenstickerei. Niissä on neulottu käsiosa, virkattua reunapitsiä ja lisäksi vielä kukkakirjontaa koristeena, eli kolmea eli tekniikkaa yhdessä pehmeässä paketissa. Tein nämä kylläkin nämä omaan käyttöön ponchon kanssa käytettäviksi ja yhteensopiviksi. Puikkokokona oli 4.5 mm, virkkuukoukku 3 mm ja lankoina muun muassa moniväristä Novita Silmua, beessiä Katia Hechizoa sekä kuparinväristä Filati da Collezione Fun-lankaa. Lisäksi käytin pieniä määriä muita lankoja kirjailuun.

These mitts are made from yarn left-overs of this poncho. They combine three techniques: knitting for the main body of the mitts, crochet for the border, and embroidery as sprinkling on top. The pattern seems to be available only in German and I found it from Woolplace. The beige yarn used up in these is Katia Hechizo, and the cuff is made with Novita Silmu yarn and the crochet in copper is made with Filati da Collezione Fun. And i used small amounts of other threads for the embroidery. All of these yarns might be discontinued now, as I've gotten them through the past few years on sales and even thrift stores. Knitting needle size used for the mitts was 4.5 mm, and crochet hook size for the lace was 3 mm.

Rusettikaulat / Bows and ribbons

Yllä omatekoinen neulerusetti. Muuten vaatteet kirppareilta, paitsi pinssi, aurinkolasit ja valmisvaatehansikkaat, joissa on muuten korjaamista odottava reikä.

Knit bow is a DIY make, but otherwise I'm wearing mostly second hand finds here. The pin on the laper, sunglasses and gloves are all bought as new. And the gloves are in the need of mending, as my index finger is poking out.
