Hevosneule on äidin vanha 1980-luvulta.
The horse sweater is mom's from 1980s.



Jos hevosteemassa haluaa pysyä, lukemiseksi sopii Nicholas Evansin Hevoskuiskaaja. Vieressä oleva puuhevonen on ainakin viisikymppinen. Pienenä en saanut My Little Poneja, vaan jouduin viemään leikkeihin puuhevosia. Silloin siitä kiusoiteltiin, mutta nyt täytyy sanoa että oikeassa ne vanhemmat olivat. Ei tungeta muovia lapsille.
For horse themed reading The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans. The wooden horse is at least 50-year-old. When I was little, my parents refused to buy plastic My Little Pony toys to me. I was teased for taking wooden horses to play dates, but now I feel parents were right after all. There is little need to hand down plastic to the next generations.

 

Eläintarha kaulassa / Zoo in a necklace

Eläinaiheinen kaulakoru on kirpputorilöytö, neule ja housut alekamaa ja hattu jonkun perheenjäsenen vanha.
The animal necklace is a second hand find. Sweater and pants from sales, hat a family hand-me-down.

Koirankujeet / Who let the dogs out?

 

Monkin koirahousut löytyivät alennuksesta jo vuosi sitten, ja kun kiersin UFF:in kirpputoria nämä ylläni, osui silmiin tämä koira-aiheinen huivikin. Se lähti mukaan vitosella ja niin koiralauma alkoi kasvaa.
The dog pants are from Monki. While wearing them, this scarf caught my attention at a charity shop. These seememed to be a pack, so I got the scarf for a fiver.

Arktinen ja antarktinen / North and South

 

Tämä reppu löytyi SPR:n kirpputorilta 1,5 eurolla ja on juuri sopivan kokoinen. Neule on äidin kirppislöytö ja farkut on kirppiskamaa myös.
This delightful bag is a second hand find for 1,5 euros. Sure, it may be meant for kids, but the size is quite good for day trips. The sweater is mom's 2nd hand find and jeans are from a flea market as well.



Antarktiseen reppuun mahtuu kirppislöydöskirja, jossa vastataan tieteellisesti muun muassa kysymykseen arktisen jääkarhun seurantarpeesta. Ja vastaus on, että isot eläimet yleensä kaipaavat enemmän reviiriä ympärilleen.
The anarctic bag fits this 2nd hand find book, which answers among other things to the question of Arctic Polar bear's loneliness. And the answer is that Polar bears are happy to be alone. Larger animals tend to need more territory around them.

Kenkäfriikki / Mad about shoes

Olen ehkä vähän kenkäfriikki. Kun näen kauniit tai hauskat kengät, ne on saatava jos vain budjetti sallii. Osa näistä on outlet-ostoksia, muutama kirppislöytöjä ja monet matkamuistoja. Lisäksi kirpputorilta on löytynyt myös kenkiin sopivaa inspiraatiokirjallisuutta.
I have to confess that I am bit mad about shoes: If I see pretty or funny shoes, I have to have them, especially if the price is right. Some of these are outlet bargains, others are second hand finds and many are souvenirs from my travels.



 

Pilvipaita / In the clouds

Tämä pilviaiheisen kankaan jämät on olleet kaapinpohjalla jo vuosikymmenen. Jottei paidasta olisi tullut liian pilvinen, ostin kirpputorilta sinivalkoisen kauluspaidan eurolla ja leikkasin siitä hihat ja selkäpuolen.
 This cloud-themed fabric has been in the scrap pile for a decade. Not to make the shirt too overpowering, I added sleeves and backside from white-blue shirt bought from a 2nd hand shop for 1 euro.

Lisäsin aiheeseen sopivia kirjailuja pilvien lomaan.
I added some simple embroidries amongst the clouds.

Maastoutumista / Old camouflauge

 

Takki on ommeltu yhdistämällä vanha maastokuvioisen takki ja beessit housut. Army-takki on alun perin kirpputorilta ja housut jäänne 90-luvulta.
This jacket is a mishmash of old camouflage coat and beige curduroy pants used as new sleeves. The army coat is 2nd hand and pants are old from 1990s.
